Friday
As usual I spent my day working on the Friday, up to my neck in Peters (the company that delivers the children books to us), I spent most of the day working on Peters, passing invoices, reciepting books - clearing room for me, unpacking and shelving Peters making some room for Tuesdays delivers. I was in a stellar mood that day, knowing that I had the entire week of after today.
On my lunch hour I decided that I was going to buy Stranglehold, I told myself that I wouldn't pay over £40 for it. Luckily the first shop I walked into (Gamestation) sold it for £39.99, noticing I had £2 Credit to spend in GS so it burns the price down to £37.99, not too shabby.
That afternoon I ordered several amounts books from local publishers via telephone. Yep I got to use my "phone voice" (the only excuse my friends have when it comes to ordering take out), I was basically phoning normal people, each seem startled when I asked for "such and such a company etc.", then the realize I'm calling about the books. One order that I had to actually write a letter out and send. It was pretty strange, with me being on my own at the office I had no guidence from anyone else so I just thought what would work and printed the sucker out, slapped in a copy invoice and post it. With me being off for a week those books should be on my desk by the time I get back, yay! :-|
Work finished and I went home slapped in Stranglehold spent 2 hours on Single Player, I try out Multiplayer and it doesn't work. So I'll give it a month, hopefully some of the kinks will be fixed. I cut back and forth between games of Stranglehold Gears of War and a few hands of Poker at the end of the night.
Saturday
Saturday morning I head down to Leven with Bear, I had to stop into the bank provide some needed details for my savings account, once that was over and done with we browsed a few shops and headed back up the road. I return to my humble abode and put on "The Festival", British comedy based around the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, not as good as I thought it would be, but still amusing.
I spend most of my afternoon fighting through games of Texas Hold'em, Gears of War, Stranglehold and Lord of the Rings Battle of Middle Earth. I also manage to watch the first two episodes of Arrested Development, I have to admit I think I'll enjoy this show, but it won't replace my love for The Office.
In the evening I watch Ross Noble's "Unreal Time" DVD, that keeps me busy for a good hour, rather than putting the 360 back on I decide it's the right time to watch "28 Weeks Later", nothing amazing, it's a good film, works well with the original and Michael from LOST was in it! I give Mag's a wee buzz of the telephone, chat away with 28 Weeks running in the background.
Sunday
Waking around 10-11AM I meet up with Maggie, Bear and Heather and we head to Kirkcaldy, we reach the Dunfermline Odeon by 2:40PM, we catch a showing of Superbad, which is a good laugh, could do with a little trimming but alot of rip roaring laughs and a fair amount of Pop Corn and Pepsi.
We get back around 7PM, pretty bushed. I do my usual checks online (Booking tickets for Ross Noble @ MyVue Cinema) and watch another episode of Arrested Development. Begin watching Enter the Fat Dragon, half way through I hop onto my 360 to play a couple rounds of Gears with Bear. Unfortunatly Bear's 360 turns out to be fucked, annoying yes, so I play few embarressing games of Gears and retreat back to Texas Hold'em.
Monday
Waking a little later that I should, I spend my working on Strangehold and manage to complete it, yes only really took three days, but I replay it collecting a few achievements along the way. I watch the rest of Enter the Fat Dragon, soon after it finished I began reviewing;
When watching Hong Kong Cinema, nothing could be better than watching in awe as Sammo Hung throwing around high spinning kicks and giggling at the goofy high jinks that Sammo seems to find himself in constantly. Click here for Full ReviewI spend a large part of the day occupining myself, WWE Unforgiven was on the Sunday and I'm ignoring the WWE site until my download if finished. When I finished downloading it I was about to watch CM Punk v Elijha Burke dook it out for the ECW Gold, too obvious that Punk was going over on that one. Suddenly Bear pops in to collect the cardboard coffin for his 360, we muse over The Condemned, he leaves, I sit back with a tin of Barr's Coke and let the wrestling roll.
Most of the week
I spent on my arse! Playing my X-Box either playing Gears of War, Texas Hold'em, Stranglehold and Lord of the Rings: Battle of Middle Earth II.
I watched Sleepers and working through Arrested Development.
Yeah a pretty lazy week off. I popped in and out of Leven most of the days, but nothing amazingly exciting.
